Chew Valley Badminton Club offers players of all abilities the opportunity to play, improve at, and enjoy the amazing sport of badminton.
Club nights for seniors take place on Tuesday evenings at Chew Valley Leisure Centre (BS40 8QB) from 8pm until 10pm. Players mix around to play double games throughout the evening.
Coaching sessions for ladies run on Thursday evenings at Chew Valley Leisure Centre from 8pm until 10pm. Run by our qualified coaches, these sessions give women the opportunity to begin or return to the sport. Players can move onto the main senior club, and take part in league matches when they are ready and keen to do so.
Our players range from novices to county players and even a European Masters champion! All are welcome.

Tuesday evening sessions run weekly starting on 3 September, and finishing on 17 December, including half term.
Thursday evening ladies’ sessions run weekly starting on 5 September, and finishing on 19 December, including half term.
Annual Senior Membership, required for all adults who play regularly at Tuesday evening club nights and/or who are a regular part of a league team: £30
Or block book for the Autumn season (3 Sept – 18 Dec) for £80 including annual membership – discount of £30 compared to paying membership and club night fees separately.
Juniors and women attending the ladies’ training sessions on Thursday evenings do not need to pay an annual membership fee.
Club night / training session fees
Senior Tuesday evening club nights – £5 per session for annual members, £6 visitor’s fee
Older juniors can attend the senior club nights for £3 (cash at the session)
Ladies’ training sessions – £5 per session if block booked for the term, £6 pay as you go in cash at the session
Match fees are £5 for senior annual members, £3 juniors
Badminton England Affiliation – required for all players: £19.50 for adults, £4.50 for juniors aged 12 to 18 years (one-off annual fee which includes insurance), free for players aged 11 and under. If any players require a Compete licence to take part in tournaments or some county matches, please contact Judith Ogden for instructions on how to upgrade.
